I really love the smooth contrast and sharpness! I gonna take it to my trip to Canada and photograph some landscapes with her.

A man-altered-landscape on black and white film

Man-altered-landscapes is a very interesting topic in modern photography. This is my little and humble contribution to it. I liked the fog trying to erase the antenna while the snow erased anything else that might suggest a kind of human presence. Taken with an OM1 on Kodak TriX.

Seduce my mind and you'll have my body.

A splash of colour to my life: Kodak Ektar 100

The Olympus OM1 and the Kodak Ektar (film I liked best with combination of camera and C41 process after the tests I carried on) brought some colour into my life, photographically speaking. I like colours on film, especially as they appears on Ektar. This pic has been taken in Boston, MA, and it is a clear example of the dynamic range film has, much larger than digital. It is been a very long time I am not taking photos with digital cameras. it looks like it is going to stay that way.

Sensuality and black and white film photography

What I try most in my photography is to capture the beauty of the female body, trough sensuality and elegance, playing with the contrast and the pose in order not to loose strength in the pic. This image has been shot on Kodak Tmaxx and Hasselblad for the series Catastrophe and the Cure - Portraits of the Women I Loved

Olympus OM1 and Kodak film test

I recently bought an Olympus OM1; I am not "downgrading" from Medium Format, not at all, but I needed a light camera to carry on holidays or week-end-trips and bought this jewel from Olympus. Light and efficient, it is really quick to handle for shooting, and the 50mm 2.8 lens I have been doing these tests with is just gorgeous with a clean high resolution and organic image.

I have been made some tests with different films (both in black and white and in colour) and different times in developing the films. I like best the results from Kodak Tmaxx 400 (the one I normally use on Medium Format, the two pics on the top) and Kodak TX 400 (the 2 pics below).

But the most I used it the most I liked the heavy grain of the latter, in my opinion is the perfect combination with the lens, the chemicals and developing time I use and the style of my photography. And you? Which one do you like best?

In my bed. A portrait of Anna on Kodak Tmaxx

There are very few subjects as beautiful as the woman body, on which light paints mysterious and poetic shadows. And there have been very few subjects which passed and posed in front of my camera which light has loved such as it did with Anna. From Catastrophe and the Cure series, this portrait was taken on Tmaxx 400.

Undressing. A black a white portrait on film

The ritual of undressing is, in my opinion, among the most sensual and beautiful moment to portrait. Taken on Tmaxx for the series Catastrophe and the Cure.
